When Buying A Home
Call or drop by our office and talk with an associate about what you want in a house and browse our properties to see what is available.
Contact a lender to get pre-qualified or pre-approved and see how much house you can afford.
Ask one of our "friendly" sales associates to assist you in finding the right house for you in your price range.
Once you find your home, you will want to make an offer to purchase the house and give the seller earnest money to seal the deal. When the offer has been accepted by both you and the seller, you will need to contact your loan officer.
Notify your loan officer that you've found a property so they can order the appraisal and start your loan process. This will normally take 2-3 weeks. Your loan officer will give you a good faith estimate which shows your monthly payment as well as your estimated cash needed for closing.
When your loan has been approved, your loan officer will contact the closing company with final closing instructions. The closing company will notify you of the date, time, and the items you will need to bring to closing including the amount of the cashier's check needed to pay your closing costs. This will normally take 3-4 weeks.
Be sure to notify everyone - your phone company, utilities, cable/satellite company, post office, newspapers/magazines, security company, and all your friends of your new address.
Pack and move!
